A group of ten youngsters from the St Hilaire de Riez Youth Club, 45 Tours, visitied the Forest of Dean at the end of July 2018. They stayed at Holly Barn towards Symonds Yat rock for four nights, having come across in a minibus using the Caen to Portsmouth ferry. They spent a day in Bristol and then in the evening joined members of the Mount of Olives youth group for a game of skittles at Berry Hill Rugby Club, who were wonderful hosts for the evening.
The next day the group were joined by a few members of the Mount of Olives youth group for a day canoeing down the River Wye from Symonds Yat to Monmouth. This was followed up during the next day by some archery and Go Ape at Beechenhurst and a trip down to Monmouth in the evening for a fish'n'chips supper and some bopping to live music at the Monmouth music festival.
The group went home having had a wonderful time in the Forest of Dean and meeting old friends from the Mount of OLives Youth Group.
